At DCC, the starting point during the design stage, is always to take the extremely difficult and tough circumstances under which our grab must perform, into consideration. With DCC grabs, which are manufactured with a relatively low empty weight, customers are assured of a high productivity, signifying a well balanced and cost effective grab. Our full range of DCC grabs are symbolic for normal and heavy duty around the clock performance.
Bearings
All bearings used at DCC facilities are of high international standard. On all DCC grabs the following bearings are used: either double row roller bearings, or heavy duty spherical plain bearings, or high quality bronze bearings. All bearings however contain anti-dust seals. Optional, maintenance-free bearings can be used.
Wear and tear durability
All DCC grabs are manufactured from high quality and durable, wear resistant materials. Shells and buckets are manufactured from wear-resistant steel sheets Brinar 400/500. The construction itself is manufactured from S355J2G3 ( St52-3N ), together with high quality steel sheets S690QL. Axles are manufactured according to 42CrMo4 temper steel.
